Pour and Shout

Marrakech, Morocco

Freshly squeezed, loudly advertised. The food carts in Jemaa el-Fna – the square and marketplace in the medina quarter of the city – offer great eats and great smells, and very enthusiastic pitches of what’s on offer. Samples, even. Juices to dates, seafood to desserts. It’s magic. And that’s just the perimeter.

The city can be both amazing and amazingly frustrating. But there’s nothing like Marrakech. I love it.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”

Marcel Proust
