One of the luggage windows at an abandoned railway station in Kisumu, Kenya. The last train departed in 2006, but locals say that service is on its way to being restored.
What does a car wash have to do with TB vaccines? Effective, genuine community engagement is key to the success of any clinical trial. And that is certainly true for TB vaccines, where we work with some surprising stakeholders to make progress.

Walking near the Place de la Comedie, the center of the action in Montpellier, on a beautiful September afternoon.
The comings and goings of airport life. Sometimes about the people, sometimes about the planes, sometimes about the glass and steel that bring them together. I’ve been in this terminal and lounge a number of times over the past 18 months, but rarely with enough time to wander and observe. From the Air France lounge in terminal 2F, walkways to and from a nearby gate.
